Senior Financial Analyst

TruePoint Solutions is a leading provider of implementation services and support for state and local government agencies providing solutions for permitting, licensing, community development, code enforcement, and asset management. TruePoint is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join its growing team. The company is backed by Seaside Equity Partners, a leading private equity firm with a focus and expertise on service-based businesses. The company has an aggressive growth plan and an attractive market that requires both organic and inorganic growth through strategic acquisitions.

This position will originally be accountable for monthly billing of T&M, SaaS billing, and milestone billing in addition to sales and gross margin analytics. Over time this role will expand into other F&A functions across Revenue & Expenses. The successful candidate will provide strategic insights and execution in optimizing the business operations as it relates to revenue and expenses. This leader will report directly to the Controller and work closely with members of the Operations team & senior executive team.

The successful candidate will have the ability to function at a high-energy environment and strategic level while being capable of driving detailed, tactical execution. More specifically, the Financial Analyst will be tasked with the following:

  • Monthly Billing – Time and materials, SaaS, and milestone
  • Related data analytics – statistics, trends, variances
  • SOP Development as it relates to billing, financial analysis and metrics reporting
  • Working with Operations and Senior Leadership to streamline existing F&A practices and create new, repeatable playbooks to help the company scale
  • Developing and executing on strategic initiatives to optimize the business
  • Spearheading ad-hoc projects related to process improvement
  • Implementing integration work plans from potential acquisitions
Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate is one who can work independently, communicate with peers and management, and takes initiative to operate as a strategic and thoughtful partner to the wider organization. This candidate will need to embrace the small company environment and have a willingness to roll up his / her sleeves with a “can-do” approach to serving customers and preserving the company culture with a vision of growth and scalability.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Functional Expertise. The candidate should have 3+ years’ experience in F&A positions and have experience in billing (time & materials, SaaS billing, contracts billing, milestone billing)
  • Prior experience with a professional services company preferred. Experience with a private equity backed company is ideal.
  • Ability to understand contracts and contract elements
  • Experience with SAGE Intacct & QuickBooks
  • Strong data analytical skills using Excel, PowerBI, or similar
  • Collaboration. The candidate is expected to work with multiple departments to optimize the business processes and procedures of the company. The candidate must be able to unify a team towards common goals.
  • Acquisition Experience. Prior experience with companies executing a growth strategy that includes growth through acquisition is preferred.
Location

This position is based in Dallas, TX and can be hybrid.
