City of Beaverton, Oregon Adopts Advanced Technology to Improve Service to Community

TruePoint Solutions Implements Leading Permitting and Customer Portal Solutions

LOOMIS, Calif.—Jan. 19, 2023: TruePoint Solutions, provider of industry-leading professional services for local governments, today announced the successful implementation of the Infor Public Sector (IPS) permitting solution and Infor’s Rhythm for Civics customer portal hosted in Infor’s multi-tenant cloud environment at the City of Beaverton, Oregon. The go-live represents completion of the first of a two-phase initiative to modernize city operations and improve its community’s experience. The new solutions have been implemented for the city’s Buildings Department and are in place to create efficiencies for staff and the community alike.

The IPS permitting solution optimizes the city's community development and regulation functions by automating the process and will reduce the time needed for permit issuance. The Rhythm for Civics portal provides anytime access for customers and the community to submit applications, track project status, and submit payments online. The availability of information will drastically reduce the volume of calls and emails from customers seeking information relating to projects. The integration introduces transparency across departments, eliminating internal data siloes and creating a cohesive process.

Further enhancing efficiency, IPS automates the management and calculation of fees and allows customers to trigger bill generation. Staff time needed to address these tasks is reduced by the automation, as the process was previously performed manually, and was vulnerable to human error.
