Modesto Irrigation District Enhances Payment Options with TruePoint Solutions and InvoiceCloud

Modesto Irrigation District Augments Payment Functionality to Modernize Operations and Improve Convenience for Customers

LOOMIS, Calif.—Nov. 7, 2023: TruePoint Solutions, leading provider of CIS/billing solutions for utilities, agriculture, and professional services for public agencies today announced that the Modesto Irrigation District has simplified and expanded payment options for its customers through the addition of InvoiceCloud, an EngageSmart (NYSE: ESMT) solution, integrated with its existing TrueBill agriculture irrigation billing solution.

With the addition of InvoiceCloud, Modesto’s customers now have more payment options and increased convenience. Prior to the addition of InvoiceCloud, customers were limited to payments by cash or check, which required a visit to the District office or sending payment through the mail. Customers can now access billing and payment information through TrueCIP, TruePoint’s customer portal, via a link directly to InvoiceCloud. The interface between TrueCIP and InvoiceCloud will not only provide increased convenience for customers but help the Modesto team better serve their constituents.

As the District considered avenues available to modernize its irrigation operations, adopting InvoiceCloud was a simple decision as there is significant overlap between electric and irrigation customers. With the expanded solution, District staff will save additional time as more payments are received electronically and processed through InvoiceCloud.

Located in California’s agriculturally rich Central Valley that produces much of the produce for the entire country, the Modesto Irrigation District delivers an average of 230,000 acre-feet of water to its customer base of 2,300 accounts that are billed twice per year. The District also treats and delivers up to approximately 67,000 acre-feet of water to the City of Modesto for citizen consumption.
