Sacramento Suburban Water District Improves Customer Payment Options

SSWD Integrates its Utility Billing Solution, TrueBill, with Payment Solution InvoiceCloud

LOOMIS, Calif.—Aug. 17, 2023: TruePoint Solutions, leading provider of CIS/billing solutions for utilities, agriculture, and professional services for public agencies today announced that the Sacramento Suburban Water District (SSWD) has adopted InvoiceCloud, an EngageSmart (NYSE: ESMT) solution for online bill payment services.

The integration of InvoiceCloud with the District’s TrueBill Utility Billing solution is designed to provide SSWD’s customers with a significantly improved payment experience. The District now offers a more comprehensive selection of payment options for its 47,000 accounts that are billed monthly. Customers can set their own preferences for mode and frequency of payment communications and a wide array modern payment options are now available including GooglePay, ApplePay, PayPal, and recurring credit card payments as well as direct pay from a bank account. Since SSWD went live on the InvoiceCloud platform in May of 2023, electronic payment adoption among its customers has risen to over 50% of its total customer population.

The District has used TrueBill to manage its utility billing for nearly 10 years. During the InvoiceCloud implementation, TruePoint Solutions further enhanced efficiency by creating additional options to the TrueBill Account Inquiry screen to create a fully seamless experience for its Customer Service Representatives during interactions with customers involving InvoiceCloud.
