Santa Monica Rent Control Board Adds Convenience Options for Customer Payments

Agency Engages TruePoint Solutions for InvoiceCloud’s Digital Payment & Customer Engagement

LOOMIS, Calif.—October 8, 2022: TruePoint Solutions, leading leading provider of government-focused professional services, permitting and licensing, and CIS/utility billing and irrigation management solutions, today announced that it has successfully implemented InvoiceCloud for payment processing at the Santa Monica Rent Control Board (SMRCB).

The Rent Control Board’s agency selected InvoiceCloud’s digital payment and customer engagement solution as a part of their ongoing strategy to optimize efficiency while providing a positive, stress-free experience for property owners and their managers. Leveraging their successful ongoing relationship with TruePoint Solutions, the agency engaged TruePoint to recommend and participate in the initiative to take on a full-featured, user-friendly payment processing solution that could integrate tightly with their existing operational software.

Now live with InvoiceCloud, SMRCB reports a notably improved experience for staff, property owners, and managers. InvoiceCloud has been integrated seamlessly with the agency’s Infor Public Sector (IPS) solution for managing accounts and operations and provides the appropriate visibility for staff and customers. When a payment is made, the information is immediately visible to staff through the agency’s dashboard, as well as to the customer in their portal.

The addition of InvoiceCloud creates an easier process for customers to make payments and has a strong track record across organizations and industries of boosting paperless billing and online payments. It automates and streamlines the tasks and processes associated with payments, creating a smoother and quicker process for staff and customers alike. Customers can view all their payment information in their portal, as well as viewing and printing their own invoices. The real-time access through self-service has reduced the call volume in the office, further enhancing efficiency.

SMRCB issues nearly 4,000 invoices annually for their purview of over 27,500 rental units, which are billed annually. Before adopting InvoiceCloud, Agency staff needed to manually receive files and run nightly updates, which took an inordinate amount of time and effort.
